THIS SUNDAY the Rev. Linda Faith Chalk will be leading us in worship.
IMPORTANT ROAD CLOSURES Friendly reminder to everyone, major repair work involving sewer and water main replacements, repaving, and sidewalk reconstruction, has commenced on Green Street and will continue until the end of summer. The street will be closed between Mercille and Oak Avenues, and on-street parking will be unavailable in this section. In addition, the parking spaces reserved for the library on Mercille Avenue will be partly occupied by the construction trailer. For those of you needing to drop someone off at the door, Birch will be a two-way street between Green and Desaulniers, accessible by Desaulniers. Parking space on Birch is limited, we suggest driving on Boulevard Desaulniers and parking on Maple Avenue, then walking over to the church. OUR GOSPEL READING is John 10: 11-18, “I Am the Good Shepherd”. Many churches observe the fourth Sunday of Easter as Good Shepherd Sunday. In this Sunday’s gospel lesson, we reflect on the words of our Lord as He refers to Himself as “the Good Shepherd.” This designation signifies Jesus’ care, protection, and guidance for all believers. It underscores his sacrificial death for our redemption and emphasizes a personal relationship with him, ensuring our eternal security.
