THIS SUNDAY the Rev. Linda Faith Chalk will be leading us in worship.
LAST WEEK WE HEARD THE VOICE OF THE FATHER as John baptized Jesus in the Jordan River. This week we hear the voice of John the Baptist as he speaks to his disciples. On seeing Jesus, he states: “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John was calling people to repentance; Jesus came to bring in the kingdom of God. The prophets spoke of his coming, John’s disciples take up his invitation to “Come and see.” We are included in the invitation. We too are invited to “come and see!”
