Dear friends,
THIS SUNDAY the Rev. Linda Faith Chalk will be leading us in worship.
IMPORTANT ROAD CLOSURES starting this Tuesday, April 16, major repair work involving sewer and water main replacements, repaving, and sidewalk reconstruction, will commence on Green Street and continue until the end of summer. The street will be closed between Mercille and Oak Avenues, and on-street parking will be unavailable in this section. In addition, the parking spaces reserved for the library on Mercille Avenue will be partly occupied by the construction trailer. For those of you needing to drop someone off at the door, Birch will be a two-way street between Green and Desaulniers, accessible by Desaulniers. Parking space on Birch is limited, we suggest driving on Boulevard Desaulniers and parking on Maple Avenue, then walking over to Birch Avenue to St. Andrew’s church. OUR GOSPEL READING is Luke 24: 36-48, “Jesus Appears to His Disciples”. As we enter the third week of Easter, we reflect on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In this Sunday’s gospel reading from Luke, we encounter Jesus appearing to his disciples after rising from the dead. He reassures them of his bodily presence, explaining how his suffering, death, and resurrection fulfill the Scriptures, and commissions the disciples to share his message of repentance and forgiveness to people from every nation.
